Our story

It started with our own shop.

Khatiwada POS began as a tool for Khatiwada Store, our family shop in Nepal. We built it to make everyday counter work easier, then realised the same idea could help other shops too.

From shop to product

The product grew from daily use.

That still shapes how we build it today. The system should be easy to learn, useful during a normal shift and clear enough for someone standing at a busy counter.

1990

Khatiwada Store opens

The family shop becomes the place where the system is used and tested.

2026

We build the first POS for the shop

The cashier flow grows around real products, loose goods, barcode scanning and everyday sales.

2026

We prepare KPOS for other shops

The original shop system becomes the starting point for a service where each customer gets their own KPOS environment.

What guides the design

What we care about when we build it.

Easy to learn

Someone at the counter should be able to understand the basic flow without a long manual.

Useful every day

We add features when they solve a real shop problem, not because every software product is expected to have them.

Support from a real person

During the pilot, setup is handled directly so we can understand the shop and help get it running properly.
